| We were visiting my mum at Southampton General Hospital on the 25th September 2010, I took the opportunity to take advantage of the limited view from oncology Ward D3, side room 7. My mum had been in there since the night of the 18th after being admitted from A&E that day to find out what was making her so ill, hoping the cancer hadn't spread to her brain. My dad and I had watched Oriana sail from Mayflower Terminal on the 23rd since we'd been called to the hospital that morning, the top of her funnel peeking over the top of the trees. It was almost as bad as home! She was off her first autumn world cruise, sailing at 6pm and sailed with fireworks. I wished I'd taken the camera but decided to when I went back again since Grand Princess would have to turn around. Due to my own pain, and still no operation date after eight weeks and having been in constant agony most of the year, I'm unable to visit every day as I'd like. There were two other ships in - Independence of the Seas and Ventura - but they were hidden behind other trees! |

| There weren't as many NHS and posh ambulances going into the A&E entrance this day as two days earlier. At least my mum was awake this time so we didn't have to pass the time counting them. Grand was due to sail at 4pm, Indy at 4.45pm and Ventura 5.30pm for some reason. Grand finally moved her handle 27 minutes late! Due to dirty glass being between me and perfect shots, I've left some of the crapper ones in. |
