| Astor (II) | ||||||||||
| There have been two Astors of different years during the 1980s looking the same it is understandably confusing. The latter Astor (1987 and 1,000grt more at 20,159) was built for Safmarine's Durban-Southampton route but instead was built for worldwide cruising. She was sold to Sovcomflot and managed by the Black Sea Shipping Company in 1988, renamed Fedor Dostoevskiy. In 1995 she reverted back to Astor and is currently chartered by Transocean Tours along with her earlier sister, now Astoria. Astor was caught leaving Southampton in January 1988 from Shore Road. | ||||||||||
