| Norwegian Star (II) & Pride of Hawai'i | ||||||||||
| On Tuesday February 12th, 2008, my good friend Phil Coultas was visiting his brother in San Pedro and I asked him if he could go down and get some 'in progress' photos of the transition of Pride of Hawai'i into Norwegian Jade. They arrived at the port at around 4:30 just as the other ship in dock that day, Norwegian Star, was pulling away from the berth. The following photos are of Norwegian Star passing the ship that was still mostly Pride of Hawai'i from the observation area near Lane Victory. | ||||||||||

| In the following photo they'd moved down to the fire station to get a photo through the windows of the bow of what will be Norwegian Jade. You can clearly see they're painting out the flower lei on her bow so that much like the DC Comics character Two-Face she looks like half-Pride of Hawai'i and half clean shaven! I think she looks prettier without the markings but that's just my opinion. | ||||||||||

| I hope to get down later this week to catch images of her completed transition. To see photos of her final arrival as Pride of Hawai'i, click here. And for those of her almost colorless, click here. | ||||||||||
