Alison Gibbons

Alison Gibbons was played by actress Carolyn Moody. Widow Alison arrived in Beckindale in 1973 harbouring a secret that she had criminal record for shoplifting. Alison had been courted first by Amos - still desperate to satisfy his brewery's preference for married publicans - and then by Henry Wilks. Alison liked Henry but couldn't bring herself to tell the truth about herself, which she regarded as essential to a lasting relationship. She left the village in 1975, telling Henry she would be in touch, but he never heard from her again.
