Daughter of Henry Wilks.

Paolo Rossetti was Henry Wilks son-in-law, being the husband of Henry's daughter Marian (they had married offscreen during Marian's appearances). Paulo died in mysterious circumstances in his homeland. Jack Sugden flew out to be with Marion who was arrested shortly after his death. According to the official book, he died 1 Jan 1991. However elsewhere in the book it says he died in 1989. If anyone can put me straight I'd be very grateful.

Gail Harrison was the first of the original cast to leave Emmerdale Farm when her character, Marian Wilks, daughter of Henry Wilks, went to live in Rome. Although Gail returned in the role briefly in 1975, the character was played by a different actress, Debbie Blythe, when Marian visited Beckindale in the eighties.

Gail went on to appear as Isobel Hardacre in the sitcom Brass.
