Emmerdale's Verity Rushworth ( Donna Windsor)

Emmerdale is Verity's first major TV role.
Donna's Emmerdale history. 1993. Donna moved up from London with her parents, Vic and Viv, step-sister Kelly and step-brother Scott.
1994. The young girl was injured while being given a ride on an Emmerdale tractor by Michael Feldmann. Her mum, Viv, threatened to sue. She was also caught up in the plane crash in the village and had to be rescued from Kim Tate's blazing stables. 1998. By now a teenager, Donna teamed up with her thuggy mate Chelsea and decided to pick on Andy Hopwood, even ending up in a fight. She was devestated when her dad died in the post office robbery perpetrated by Andy's criminal dad, Billy, on Christmas Day.
1999. Donna had been suspended from school for bullying Andy and his foster-brother Robert Sugden. Her mum pleaded her case with the head and she was let back in. 2000. The suspension shook Donna up a bit and she made her peace with Andy, even helping to rescue him when he ran away. She started her first proper relationship with Marc Reynolds.

HERE’S sizzling proof that Emmerdale schoolgirl Verity Rushworth has grown up — into a stunning soap temptress.

Verity, 17 — wild child Donna Windsor in the rural ITV1 show — casts off her frumpy school uniform to frolic on the beach in a sexy red bikini.

It’s a far cry from when she joined Emmerdale five years ago, pictured with the soap’s Chelsea Campbell (far right).

She said: “I was a bit of a tomboy. But while I may have started as a schoolgirl, I feel like a woman now.” Shore thing, Verity.

Donna's sex disease embarrassment

Verity Rushworth, aka Emmerdale's dippy Donna, reckons the soap has put her off going out on the town.

Next week viewers will see how she reacts to news that she's contracted a sexually transmitted disease.

The 18-year-old actress explained to Pure Soap: "Oh, I've had loads of really good storylines, but this chlamydia storyline has been the most embarrassing.

"Although it's just touched upon in the show, I'm dreading going out in Leeds, but it's all part of the job I suppose."

The decision by the show's scriptwriters to include the shocking plot, which could potentially see four of the soap's characters suffering from the condition, couldn't be more topical - recent figures revealed the number of children under 15 visiting clinics for contraception and STD test has nearly tripled over the past few years.

Only last year, The Family Planning Association (FPA) called for the government to introduce a national screening programme for chlamydia - the most commonly diagnosed STD in 2002 - to halt the growing crisis.

Next Wednesday (March 24), Viv discovers her darling daughter Donna has contracted the STD, but what will Robert do when he finds out, and will he fear the worst about who the condition has spread to?

And, how long will it be before newlywed Andy learns the truth?

EMMERDALE temptress Verity Rushworth has revealed how a Coronation Street star tried to seduce her and her mum.

The 18-year-old actress - Donna Windsor in the hit soap - is refusing to name him, but admits she was shocked by his bold advances.

"I can't tell you who he was," she says. "He's on Coronation Street. It was flattering at first, then it got very embarrassing as he tried to pull my mother too.

"It's a bit odd being chatted up by someone who was also trying to pull your mother. But my mum and I had a good laugh about it afterwards."

But the mystery star would not have got very far with Verity or her mother Fiona, however hard he tried.

Fiona, 43, is happily married to Verity's 56-year-old dad Michael, a stonemason, and Verity has been seeing her model boyfriend Alex Cooke, 18, for the past nine months. Verity says: "We see each other a couple of times a week, mainly at the weekend.

"I don't want to get married for a long time. I've got too much to do in my career and I'm only 18. We just enjoy going on dates, to the cinema or for dinner. It's nice because we really look forward to our dates instead of getting under each other's feet. We've no plans for the future.

"He makes me laugh, he's a real gentleman, and he's very good-looking. But he's only my second serious boyfriend and I've got lots of other stuff going on in my life."
