Review
Andy faces a tough decision over the future of his unwanted guest. Paul's doubts over the termination come to the surface, but will Siobhan listen? Eddie's sandwich round is struggling but he is flavour of the day for one admirer.

Episode 3556 - on ITV1

As if they haven’t got enough on their plate maintaining the Farm, Daz is continually getting into mischief leaving Andy and Katie to run around after him. When Andy finally gets his hands on his tearaway brother, he shares a few home truths about Billy that shatter Daz’s illusions about their incarcerated father. Cold-hearted Andy is in no mood for his little brother’s sulky attitude, telling him that as soon as his mother gets back in the country he can pack his bags and move out.

Siobhan is feeling hormonal and grotty as she wakes. Paul tries to convince her to take the day off sick, but stubborn Siobhan refuses claiming she is pregnant not sick. Meanwhile, Paul can’t take his mind of the termination. Siobhan seems to be unaffected by the prospect of getting rid of their baby, but he is beginning to have second thoughts.

When Dodds asks Lisa out for a romantic meal, she suddenly gets cold feet as she finds out that what she thought was an innocent liaison was intended to be more intimate. However, Lisa and Eddie seem to be striking up a friendship as she helps him keep his finances afloat by assisting him selling sandwiches to the villagers.

Dawn (JULIA MALLAM) gets nervous about giving birth after she has a false alarm

Elsewhere in the village, pregnant Dawn panics as she has a false alarm. The shock that she may have been going into labour triggers her anxieties for the baby’s health as she worries it may be born deaf due to the rubella.

When Andy finally gets his hands on his tearaway brother, he shares a few home truths
As if they haven’t got enough on their plate maintaining the Farm, Daz decides to do a runner when he is due to be taken to social services by Andy and Katie. When Andy finally gets his hands on his tearaway brother, he shares a few home truths about Billy that shatter Daz’s illusions about their incarcerated father. Cold-hearted Andy is in no mood for his little brother’s sulky attitude, telling him that as soon as his mother gets back in the country he can pack his bags and move out.
Dawn panics after a false alarm
Pregnant Dawn panics after a false alarm. The prospect of going into labour triggers her anxieties for the baby’s health as she worries it may be born deaf due to the rubella. Cain sets about Shadrach when it is discovered it was he who went to the newspapers
The village is shocked by the expose in the papers on the Dingles and the Tates. It’s obvious who the culprit is when Shadrach appears in the Woolpack flashing his cash around. Lisa despairs as she watches the subsequent Dingles meeting turn into full-scale argument with accusations flying between the family members.

Review
It is Paul's birthday, but it is he who is serving up the surprises with his thoughts on Siobhan's planned abortion. Daz causes trouble at the Sugdens' and Andy finds himself caught between his warring brothers. Zoe makes plans to send Chris off in style.

Episode 3557 - on ITV1

Although he is having doubts about the termination, Paul holds his tongue as Siobhan is so determined to go through with the procedure. Noticing Siobahn is under the weather at Paul’s birthday party, it doesn’t take long before nosy Frances puts two and two together and questions the patter of tiny feet.

Paul (MATTHEW BOOTH) tells Frances that he and Siobhan have decided to have an abortion.

She is horrified when flummoxed Paul confirms her suspicions but nervously admits they have decided on a termination. Taking Paul aside to question their decision, Frances’ persuasive words bring doubts to the forefront of his mind. Later that evening, Paul is frustrated when his pleas to reconsider fall on deaf ears. Siobhan is determined to go through with the abortion the following day.

Jack’s intentions to invite Andy and Katie to a quiet family meal don’t go to plan when Daz tags along. His playful behaviour becomes a little too aggressive for Victoria and it all ends in tears.

Meanwhile at the Tates, Zoe has the gruelling task of making the arrangements for Chris’ funeral. Distraught she vows to celebrate her brother’s life with no expense spared.

After giving Dodds the gentle elbow Lisa excitedly takes Eddie up on his offer of a date the following day. With his affections toward Lisa growing stronger by the day Eddie canít believe that his luck may have finally changed.

Elsewhere in the village, Rodney is jubilant after a triumphant day at the races. Having successfully added to his new found wealthy status, the millionaire flashes his cash in the Woolpack, much to everyone elseís annoyance.

Review
As Siobhan heads for the abortion clinic she is also in danger of terminating her relationship with Paul. Eddie and Lisa don their glad rags for their first date, but will they be dancing to the same tune? Zoe hears the reading of Chris's will and steels herself for a Charity backlash.

Episode 3558 - on ITV1

After a night on the settee, Paul refuses to back down and feels even more strongly that he and Siobhan should keep the baby. It is clear a huge crack has appeared in their relationship and he can’t help feeling hurt by her heartlessness towards their unborn child. Meanwhile, emotionally burdened Siobhan fills Louise in on her predicament. Offering a shoulder to cry on, Louise comforts Siobhan telling her she won’t judge her decision and offers to go to the clinic with her.

Returning from the clinic having had the abortion, Siobhan arrives home to find Paul has packed his bags – he is unsure whether their relationship can survive under the circumstances. In a panic Siobhan lies and tells Paul she couldn’t go through with the abortion. Overjoyed Paul excitedly imagines how good it will be to be parents. Siobhan does her best to hide her discomfort, telling him to keep quiet about it for now as it is still early days and anything could happen.

Lisa is excited as she embarks on her hot date with Bob’s brother Eddie, leaving Sam disgruntled as he watches his mother go out with another man, in spite of his estranged father Zak. It turns out they have a lot in common as they enjoy their date and don’t seem to notice the gathering crowds in the Woolpack, avidly watching their every move. One thing leads to another and it is clear their attraction to each other is mutual as Lisa plants a smacker on Eddie’s lips at the end of the night. Courageously she asks him back for a coffee and he happily obliges…

Elsewhere in the village, Andy and Daz are forced to resolve their differences. Andy casts aside his reservations about his newly found brother and they decide to start a fresh.

Review
Paul is delighted at Siobhan's change of heart but she may have another surprise up her sleeve. Lisa plucks up the courage to tell Eddie how she feels about him, but is it what he wants to hear? A cash-strapped Andy is forced to dig deep to make Daz look presentable.

Episode 3559 - on ITV1

Siobhan tells Louise that she couldn’t contemplate losing Paul and so lied to him about the baby. She admits that she plans to fake a miscarriage.

Meanwhile, Frances is delighted as Paul confirms that she is going to be a grandmother, in no time at all celebrations are under way at the Marsdens, much to Siobhan’s discomfort. To make matters worse, Frances gives her a book on pregnancy and childcare and the guilt really starts to wear her down.

Several villagers arrive to pay their respects as Chris’ body is brought home. The mood becomes light-hearted as they reminisce about genuinely fond memories of Chris. But it all becomes too much for Zoe as she breaks down on Ashley’s shoulder, struggling to deal with life without her brother. As the crowds disperse, Zoe spends some time alone with Chris and sobs quietly at the loss.

Meanwhile, Zoe has asked Terry to write a eulogy and he is busy at home with the speech when Dawn gets another twinge. It is apparent the baby could arrive at any time and Dawn confides in Terry that she is afraid of giving birth.

Elsewhere in the village, Daz is in Andy’s bad books again, as he manages to ruin all his new clothes by pouring paint all over himself.

Paul can’t wait to tell the elated Marsden family
Having panicked and lied to her husband in order to save her marriage Siobhan is forced to now stick to her story about not being able to go through with the abortion. When she confides in Louise about her plan to fake a miscarriage Louise is horrified and warns her friend that she’s taken her relationship with Paul into a completely different place. Meanwhile Paul can’t wait to tell the elated Marsden family, particularly Frances who is over the moon that her daughter-in-law did not go through with the termination.
Zoe breaks down in tears next to her brother’s coffin
Over at Home Farm Zoe is inundated with visitors arriving on her doorstep to pay their respects to Chris, whose body has finally returned home. After an awkward start, a few drinks mellow the atmosphere as the villagers warm-heartedly remember Chris. After the well-wishers leave Zoe breaks down in tears next to her brother’s coffin as she realises how much she’s going miss him and struggle following in his footsteps.

At Butler’s Farm, much to the despair of Andy and Katie, tearaway Daz continues to make a mischief of himself, including covering a wall in graffiti.

Eddie and Lisa are enjoying each other’s company, despite strong disapproval from Sam. They agree to keep things simple between them and not rush into anything too heavy.

Elsewhere, after another false alarm, Dawn admits to Terry that she’s really scared about giving birth. Faithful Terry assures his wife that he’ll be there the whole way.

Review
As Chris Tate is finally laid to rest one uninvited mourner puts the cat amongst the pigeons and another returns unexpectedly and runs amok at Home Farm. Dawn is forced to make a sharp exit from the funeral as she goes into labour.

On the morning of Chris Tates’ funeral, Zoe composes herself for the day ahead. But nothing can prepare her for the unwanted guest who is determined to cause a stir. Amid gasps from the congregation, a bedraggled Charity is escorted into the church handcuffed to a police officer. Terry momentarily stops his speech as he and Zoe are equally horrified by her arrival.

Desperate to prove her innocence, Charity can’t contain herself as she tries to explain to the gobsmacked crowd that Chris took his own life. Incensed by her outburst, Zoe storms out of the church, while Ashley tries to continue the service.

Thursday 16 October 2003 at 7.00pm on ITV1 Network Zak (STEVE HALLIWELL) returns to the village.

Outside the church Cain is shocked to see a familiar face as Zak greets him in the street. They share a heartfelt reunion and Cain fills Zak in on the goings on within the village. While all the commotion is taking place inside the church, Cain tells Zak he is going to Home Farm to get his final revenge by robbing the place. And Zak feels obliged to follow.

At Home Farm, Cain and Zak take advantage of the spread laid on for the wake and help themselves to food and drink. Little do they know Zoe is on her way back, disgusted by what she has witnessed at the church. Inside the house, Cain finds Chris’ abandoned wheelchair and climbs into it, while Zak also makes himself at home. Their blasé actions are interrupted by fearless Zoe, who marches into the hallway, shotgun in hand. Seeing red on the day of her brother’s funeral, Zoe has a personal vendetta against the Dingles. But will she pull the trigger and add to the fatalities?

Elsewhere in the village, Dawn goes into labour for real this time. But Terry is nowhere to be seen having been caught up in the funeral arrangements. As her waters break, Dawn struggles to climb into a taxi. Will Terry make it to the hospital in time?

Turning on the Dingle charm, Zak worms his way out of a very sticky situation at Home Farm, as Zoe finally surrenders the shotgun she had been brandishing.

Charity, who is still handcuffed to a warden, stares into the grave and Joseph throws earth onto the coffin.

As Zoe arrives at the cemetery the mourners are beginning to leave and Charity is forced to say her goodbyes to Debbie, who is upset to see her mother go back to prison.

Meanwhile determined to break the ice, Zak makes his entrance.

Zak (STEVE HALLIWELL) naively thinks he's in for a warm welcome from Lisa (JANE COX) - but receives a right hook instead!

All the Dingles look on in disbelief as he stands there bold as brass. Lisa can’t believe her eyes as she runs towards him. Naïve Zak thinks he is in for a warm welcome from his long suffering wife, but is utterly shocked when she wallops him and floors him with a right hook!

Later, back at the Dingles, Lisa bathes Zak’s bruised face as unsuspecting Eddie shows up to see her. Eddie is perturbed to find out that wounded Zak is Lisa’s estranged husband. Dazed and confused by the day’s events, Lisa tells the gang she is going to bed and when Zak tries to follow she leaves him in no doubt that he’s not welcome.

At the cemetery Chris is finally laid to rest as the coffin is lowered into the ground. A tearful Charity stares into her husbandís grave as Joseph throws earth onto the coffin.

Back at Home Farm, turning on the Dingle charm, Zak manages to worm his way out of a very sticky situation up at Home Farm, as Zoe finally surrenders the shotgun she had been brandishing threateningly. As Zoe arrives at the cemetery the mourners are beginning to leave and Charity is forced to say her goodbyes to Debbie, who is upset to see her mother go back to prison. Charity warns Zoe that she has not seen the back of her, relenting to fight the charges against her all the way.
