Episode #3225

Date: Monday 22 July Time: 7:00pm to 7:30pm
Subtitled, Widescreen

Syd sleeps with Chloe after taking advantage of her emotional turmoil. The Dingles plan a day trip to the seaside. Pollard and Gloria plan to spruce up the factory. Written by Bill Lyons.

Chloe is emotionally troubled after her secret kiss with Syd. Although they have agreed to keep it quiet, it doesn’t make the guilt any easier.

Desperate to compensate and ease her conscience, she prepares a romantic meal at home. But Scott returns in a less than sympathetic mood, rejects her gesture and storms out.

Left high and dry again, Chloe resorts to drinking alone and by the time Syd arrives home, he finds her in a distraught state. Sensing her vulnerability he offers to give her some space, but Chloe is desperate for company and asks him to stay with her.

His compassion soon turns to passion, however, and within moments the couple are racing upstairs and into bed!

Much to Latisha’s dissaproval, Lisa has invited Cynthia and Danny on a Dingles’ day out! Although Cynthia is anxious about their strained relationship she sees it as an opportunity to make amends with her daughter.

Elvis and Shandrach get their own back after the fake wake, as they turn up at the Dingles. Convinced they are returning to ask him to take Peg in once again - Zak is horrified when they remind him Peg is dead, and they are only returning her ashes!

Image conscious Pollard, rounds up his recruits to tidy up the factory as they prepare for the Village in Bloom competition. Inspired by the hive of activity in his yard, Pollard decides to flex his green fingers and plans a floral display, with the hope of some cheap publicity.

Episode #3226

Date: Tuesday 23 July Time: 7:00pm to 7:30pm
Subtitled, Widescreen

The Dingles' day out ends in disaster as Cynthia is arrested and Lisa meets an old flame. Pollard and Gloria get their hands dirty in an attempt to win their contest. Written by Stephen Bennett.

The Dingles and Daggert’s day temporarily grinds to a halt as the van breaks down in a neighbouring village. Latisha begrudgingly agrees to walk round the village with her family until the van is fixed.

But as they shop, Latisha’s sticky fingers get her in to trouble again and she covertly puts an expensive pair of sunglasses in Kirk’s pram. Suddenly aware of the prying eyes of the shopkeeper, she insists they leave the shop.

Desperate to keep all the family happy, Cynthia offers to look after Kirk, presuming that Latisha wants to be with Cain. Latisha willingly abandons the pram, leaving it with Cynthia, who is blissfully unaware Kirk is harbouring unpaid-for goods!

Latisha’s actions have not gone amiss and the shop assistant moves in for the kill, catching Cynthia red handed! As the pram is searched, the sunglasses are found. Cynthia is horrified but unbelievably makes the ultimate sacrifice for her daughter and takes the rap!

Seeking refuge from the day’s events, the Dingle clan take up residence in the local pub and even an explosion outside can’t detract them from a quiet pint.

Later at the bar, Zak is pleasantly surprised to discover that an old pal from his prize fighting days, Firecracker Foggin, is responsible for the blast.

He reveals he had just blown up some cannabis plants on his allotment, to prevent the police from finding them. This breaks the ice with the Dingle clan and they insist on him coming to stay.

But Lisa is blown away when Zak introduces his old pal – for he is an old flame.

Pollard is forced to get his green fingers mucky as there has been a huge delivery of plants for his village in bloom display and his usual Dingle workforce are nowhere to be seen.
