Steph tries to buy Shelly’s affections
ITV1 Network
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Review :-
Val sets her sights on winning Pollard’s
as they embark on a scam together.
Turner struggles to convince Shelly that Steph
has their interests at heart.
With business booming, Nicola is frustrated
by Simon’s lack of commitment to their relationship.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Val (Charlie Hardwick) charms antique owners in an attempt to get offers
for the paintings. Meanwhile, Pollard (Chris Chittell) is having trouble
trying to get insurance cover for the pictures and is mortified to
find out that Val has told the dealers he is her gofer.
Elsewhere, Steph (Lorraine Chase) tries to win Shelly’s (Carolyn
Pickles) forgiveness by offering her beauty therapy equipment, but
she is clearly not ready to forget. Shelly is furious when she arrives
home to find Turner (Richard Thorp) with the equipment, and in a rage
she insists that she has decided to leave the village.

Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is bitter having failed to set a wedding date
with Simon (Dale Meeks) and she takes out her fury on the cleaning
team. How will Nicola react when the usually quiet Laurel gives her
a piece of her mind?

Having got Paddy and Viv to shake hands and make
up, she now wants the three of them to have a drink in the Woolpack
that evening, much to the regret of the two parties. |
|
Meanwhile, Val’s getting ready to meet the local art dealers
as she and Pollard bid to sell the paintings they acquired from
the closed library. With a low-cut revealing top and plenty of
balls too (it is Val after all), she’s ready. |
|
It’s only later that Marlon complains that two chicken
fillets have gone missing from the freezer… Diane suddenly
recalls how fully breasted her sister was when she left for the
day…
|
|
It seems to have worked, though, for Val gets lucky with a dealer
who suggests that the collection she has to offer (paintings that
is) is worth about £35-£40K! She’s delighted
and goes back to tell Pollard the good news. |
|
But first she faces an onslaught from Marlon and Diane who accuse
her of stealing the chicken fillets to boost her chances ‘upstairs’ – she
laughs at the suggestion and reveals instead that she borrowed
a couple of helpful items from Marlon! |
|
Meanwhile, away from the chickens and Steph tells Shelly that
she should stop cleaning and start up a manicure business. She
gets rid of her quick smart, but Steph then goes to the B&B
to retrieve the beauty case from the cellar and gives it to Turner,
unknown to Shelly… |
|
…who’s helping the cleaning girlies paint Pollard’s
barn for his planned art exhibition and sale. She’s full
of beans for her future with Turner is finally looking brighter.
The talk of love is too much for Nicola, though, who is distraught
that Simon has yet to name a date for their wedding. |
|
She bursts into tears and runs out while Laurel chases her and
they talk about their respective relationships. Nicola pipes up
with: ‘The ironic thing is that two months ago Shelly Williams
was dead, and now she’s the happiest woman in the village!’ Don't
you just love Nicola?! |
|
Having returned home from her painting very jolly, Shelly spots
the beauty case and tells Turner to chuck it in the bin. Alan finds
it a bit unnecessary until Shelly explains that the case was in
the cellar when Steph was torturing her and is full of awful memories
(not literally, of course). |
|
Meanwhile, drinks between Viv, Paddy and Emily are awkward, no
surprise there then, but behind the bar Val congratulates her breasts
on a fantastic day! ‘You’ve done me proud today, kids,
nanny loves you very much, cheers!’ She’s a weird one
that Val! |
