Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is desperate to expand her business and when

It’s the morning after the disastrous dinner party
and Marlon can’t wait to quiz Paddy on how it went and
mock him more (what are mate’s for?!). The vet tells him
that the experience wasn’t pleasant ,but that he and Viv
agreed to forget about it… and then he tells the chef that
he made her cry!
In the shop, Emily is asking Viv if she’s feeling better now, but she brushes
her off and tells her that she’s ordered new tables to reflect a ‘new
Viv’ (if that’s how you see yourself, Viv, that’s fine).
She asks Emily to help her assemble them…
But she’s carted off to Leeds with Paul for an audition, so she asks Paddy
to help her – like that’s going to happen! The vet has no intention
of helping the knee-friendly missus and asks Marlon to do it instead because
But Viv later wanders into the Woolpack where she sees Paddy enjoying a drink
and isn’t in the slightest bit busy. Hurt, she approaches Paddy and tells
him that Marlon told her he was busy. The boy leaves the pub quicker than a
cow can say moo. The furniture assembly, as you can imagine, is a disaster.
Meanwhile, Zoe and Sadie are chatting in the pub as Jimmy walks in, Sadie once
again tries to speak to him, but instead he has fun teasing her with his wallet
full of cash and tells her that she’s no longer got her hands on it.
Later Sadie admits to Zoe that she misses her husband and the King family
generally (is she mad?!) and promises herself that she will get back into
the clan: ‘I’ll play the waiting game, one way or another I’ll
get what I want.’
Elsewhere, Shelly buys her and Turner a bottle of wine in the pub to celebrate
the implementation of stage two of their plan – the move out of Betty’s.
Turner is unsure that’s he up to the upheaval so soon, but tells Shelly
that he’ll think about it.
After posting her manicure services in the shop, Steph decides it’d be
a great idea to book an appointment with her former friend. The idea falls flat
as Shelly tells her where to go before heading back to Turner in a state. Alan
tells her that he’s lodged an interest with three estate agents with a
view to move. Shelly is delighted, obviously. It's good to see her with a smile
rather than a scowl too!
Her day gets even better when Nicola offers her a part-time job after the young
entrepreneur secures a contract with Pollard – a dodgy one at that.
Meanwhile, Emily returns from her trip to Leeds and asks Paddy how he got on
with the table assembly. The vet tells her that he asked Marlon to do it as he
had a ‘lambing emergency’. Emily doesn’t believe him and thinks
now more than ever that Viv and her husband just don’t get on… if
only that was the problem, Emily!
