Carl’s suspicions of Chloe are confirmed
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Carl (Tom Lister) has a private chat with Colleen (Melanie Ash) about
the letters and he asks her to write the word ‘waste’.
She is disgruntled by her ex-husband’s accusations but writes
the word regardless.
Carl later cleverly asks Chloe (Amy Nuttall) to write a letter for
Tom (Ken Farrington) and as he dictates he includes the same word.
Chloe incorrectly spells the word ‘waist’ and Carl is horrified
as the mistake matches an error on the letter. How will Carl react
to the discovery that Chloe was responsible for destroying his relationship
Meanwhile, when Viv (Deena Payne) takes her new pet rabbit to the
vets, Paddy (Dominic Brunt) is clearly nervous in her presence.

| Sadie’s pout is upon us once again as she tells Zoe that
Jimmy has started divorce proceedings against her. She admits to
her friend that it’s not so much Jimmy she’ll miss
(charming) but rather the King family as a whole. We feel for you
Sadie, we’d all love to be close to a family like the Kings!
In what has to be one of the biggest shocks of the year so far, Chas tells Chloe
that she hopes the scan goes ok! As everyone’s mouths in the café fall
open, Chloe mumbles a thanks and walks out! Katie questions Chas, but the black
beauty simply tells her, ‘Carl’s moving on, so should I.’
He’s not moving too far in trying to solve the case of the poison pen letters
though. Colleen arrives with the children and he speak to her again about the
letters. She insists that it wasn’t her and he makes her spell ‘waste
of space’ on a piece of paper for him (all will be revealed later).
Despite spelling ‘waste’ correctly he still can’t believe that
it’s not her. He tells her that the final letter they received was a week
before Christmas, but Colleen tells him she was in Barbados then and couldn’t
have possibly sent the letter.
Meanwhile, it’s Marlon’s birthday and she invites him and Donna round
for dinner that evening. But they tell her that they’re going to Leeds.
Feeling guilty about letting her down they ask Emily and Paddy if they can invite
Viv round for dinner with them all next Sunday. Should be interesting…
Particularly after Viv goes to see Paddy at the vets with Buffy the rabbit.
Her intentions are clear as her innuendoes fly. Paddy reminds her that although
they did have a ‘moment’ all those weeks ago, that it’s not
going to happen again. She agrees, but clearly she hasn’t listened…
Apparently Buffy hasn’t go much of an appetite, ‘I think she may
need a mate, you know what they say about rabbits and their appetites. What shall
I do?’ she asks as she locks eyes with the vet. He suggests she sees a
therapist, the rabbit that is.
Elsewhere and Sadie goes to see Tom to tell him she’s going to accept his
severance deal. She tells him about the divorce too, and adds, ‘I’m
losing the people I care most about in this world. It feels like the end and
that’s just terrible.’ Tom looks like he may well be softening towards
the scheming minx.
And finally, after agonising about it for days, Carl has discovered that Chloe
wrote the poison letters. He manages to catch her out by getting her to write
a letter for Tom, which he dictates. When he realises that she’s miss-spelt
the word ‘waist’, just like in one of the poison letters, the penny
finally drops! At last! Roll on Thursday!
