Jimmy (Nick Miles) returns to Home Farm to collect some of his things and ends

Charity (Emma Atkins) was the biggest regret of his life. He later

apology, he sacks both her and Jimmy.
Elsewhere, Debbie (Charley Webb) relays the story to Zak (Steve Halliwell)
of how her mum had slept with Jimmy to get back at Sadie for what she

promising that he will try and be a proper father to her.
Later that day, Chloe (Amy Nuttall) quizzes Carl (Tom Lister) on what
he knows about Paul Marsden’s death, but an irate Carl insists
he has nothing to say and suggests that she keep quiet too.

Sadie and Jimmy are blaming each other for the situation
they’re both in. But Jimmy reminds his wife that she was
invited to join the family when she married him, but tells her
she’s not a part of it now. As he storms out the door she
yells: ‘No-one gets rid of me that easily.’ |
|
Tom bumps into Cain in the village and tells him he knows exactly
what he and Sadie did for Charity. He tells him he’s broken
hearted and tells him he’s nothing but a thug. Matthew rushes
over to intervene but Cain simply walks off. Tom tells Matthew
to round up his family for a meeting. |
|
After Matthew’s threat the previous evening, Chloe asks
Carl about Paul Marsden. Just like his brother, Carl tells her
to forget everything that she saw and heard, ‘for your sake
and mine’.
|
|
At the office and everyone’s there as Tom announce it’s ‘time
for a few home truths’.Sadie tries to get in quick with an
apology and tells her father-in-law that what she did was out of
love for the family. Tom quizzes Carl and Matthew about their knowledge
of Sadie’s set-up, but on learning that they played no part
he sends them home. |
|
He talks first with Jimmy and tells him what a mug he is, Jimmy
retorts, ‘What, for marrying Sadie?’ Unsurprisingly,
Tom gives his son a hard time, but after several minutes of it
Jimmy flips and tells him that he’s fed up too, with Tom,
with Sadie and with his wife. Tom’s appalled and sacks him! |
|
Away from the drama and Zak asks Debbie why she didn’t
go with Charity. She relays the truth about Cain and the wedding
leaving poor old Zak appalled at his behaviour. |
|
He later tells Cain that if he ever does anything to harm Debbie
then his relationship with Zak is over. It spurs him into action
for Cain tells Debbie that he’s going to try and be a better
dad. We’ll believe it when we see it, Cain! |
|
Elsewhere, Viv is glammed up ready for her date with Jonny, the
sales rep. As she walks into the pub, Bob tells her she looks ‘particularly
ravishing’, but she only eyes for Jonny who doesn’t
know what’s hit him! Half and hour later and Viv has scared
him off! |
|
Meanwhile, it’s Sadie’s turn in the hot seat and
although she tries to placate Tom, he’s having one of it
and tells her, ‘Charity is worth 10 of you.’ Ouch!
He goes on to tell her that she’s vindictive and callous
and can’t believe that she didn’t tell Jimmy honestly
that she didn’t want children. He ends: ‘You betrayed
me Sadie and I’ll never forgive you for that.’ |
|
The scheming minx goes home crying and tells Zoe that she’s
ruined everything. Zoe tells her that she understands for she didn’t
want Charity to marry Chris nor Kim to marry her father. But she
tells her to not give up hope that soon all will be forgiven. We
wouldn’t bet on it though! |
