Matthew turns on the charm for Louise
ITV1 Network
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Louise (Emily Symons) and Terry (Billy Hartman) prepare to look at
another B&B until Terry finds out that Dawn (Julia Mallam) needs
him to look after TJ (Connor Lee). Matthew (Matt Healy) offers to
accompany Louise instead and she gratefully agrees. As they look
around, Matthew turns on the charm but is careful not to give too
much away. Matthew suggests they stay for lunch and over a few glasses
of wine he proposes a toast to their new venture. Will Louise notice
the glint in his eye?

Elsewhere, Chloe (Amy Nuttall) quizzes Carl (Tom Lister) having found
out that Chas (Lucy Pargeter) called round the previous evening. Despite
his explanation she storms up to Chas in front of Denzel (Danny Lawrence)
and threatens her to stay away from her boyfriend. Denzel supportively
makes it clear that he trusts Chas, and Chloe leaves in disgust.

Turner is down in the dumps and heads to what was Shelly’s
memorial garden – at least now it’s a real one, although
Turner of course doesn’t know of the tragic events in Scotland.
Meanwhile, Steph rolls up in a taxi. She knocks on Turner’s door, but obviously
he’s not in so Betty answers and isn’t scared of putting her opinion
forward (again). ‘It’s a great shame as far as I’m concerned
that Shelly didn’t come back.’ That told her.
She catches up with Turner in the garden and explains what happened in Scotland
(well, not everything obviously!). She gives him a bottle of whisky, but he tells
her, ‘I wish you’d brought her (Shelly) back instead of a holiday
souvenir.’
Turner asks her if she thinks Shelly will be happy where she’s gone to,
Steph replies: ‘I’m not sure she knew where she’ll end up,
she ‘stumbled’ with her decision, but she certainly won’t be
coming back here, I think she realised that going was her only option.’ Liar,
liar, pants on fire!
Meanwhile, Terry and Louise are due to look at Matthew’s friend’s
B&B, but Terry has to stay to look after TJ. Smooth Matthew offers to take
Louise instead as he gives a knowing wink to brother Carl as he leaves the office!
Having looked round the place Louise tells Matthew that he’s really inspired
her. Keen to take advantage of being alone with the blonde beauty, Matthew says
they should stay for lunch. Ooer! Could this be the start of something you two?!
Carl and Chloe go for a drink in the Woolpack and Chas can’t resist making
it known to Chloe that she was round at their place the previous evening. Of
course Chloe questions her boyfriend as it dawns on her how many cans of beer
were on their kitchen table. If looks could kill… Chas overhears their ‘conversation’ and
is loving it!
Steph goes to see Ethan and chats to him about Shelly and their past and tells
him that she misses her. He asks her what her plans are and she tells him that
she’ll probably leave the village as ‘I don’t think there’s
anything left for me now’. He asks her about her dad, but she tells him
that she doesn’t think he’ll want her around now.
Ethan calls on Turner and lets him know what Steph told him about leaving. But
he tells the curate that it’s probably for the best. Ethan says that Steph
thinks he doesn’t care whether she stays or goes. Turner tells him that
he’s not sure if he does care… 'but I’m not sure I’ll
ever care about anything ever again’.
It has obviously stirred something in Turner though for he goes round to see
Steph later that evening. He thanks her for what she did in Scotland and tells
her he’s proud of her. He then tells her that he doesn’t want her
to leave, that she’s all he’s got, and that he’s all she’s
got. She agrees to stay and the two hug… but you have to wonder, after
Harold in Neighbours seemingly came back from the dead when he ’drowned’,
could Shelly turn up again? |
