Chloe proves that she will stop at nothing to hold on to her man
ITV1 Network
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Review :-
After a fall in the office, Chloe is rushed to hospital – and
questions her abortion plans.
Laurel revels in her perfect life back in the village.
Turner begins to blame himself for Shelly’s death.
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tom (Ken Farrington) and Carl (Tom Lister) rush to Chloe’s (Amy
Nuttall) aid when she falls down the stairs. Tom is left stunned when
she lets slip that she is pregnant.
Despite her protesting, Carl takes Chloe to the hospital
but as she is about to have her scan she asks Carl to go and talk to
Tom.

Left
alone, the doctor tells Chloe that she was never pregnant. However,
she later lies to Carl that the baby is fine and that she can’t
go through with the abortion. How far will the manipulative minx
go to hold on to her man?
Elsewhere, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) is delighted when Diane (Elizabeth
Estensen) offers her a home at the Woolpack and is thrilled when Nicola
(Nicola Wheeler) throws her a surprise welcome home party. Laurel’s
day improves even further when Nicola offers her a job and she is left
overwhelmed by her perfect life in the village.

Laurel sets out for the day to look for a place to
live until her and Ashley get married. But Ashley
doesn’t let her leave until she’s had
a big hug and a kiss from her fiancé! Aww!
|
|
Tom thanks Chloe for going to lunch the previous day and she
suggests that they make it a regular thing. Much to her surprise,
though, Tom warns her off Carl and tells her: ‘You’re
not the first lass Carl has brought home and you won’t be
the last, sorry love.’ Well that’s put a spanner in
the works hasn’t it, Chloe? |
|
Ethan goes in search of Turner and finds him chatting to Zak
in the café. He hands Turner the letter but he’s not
interested and continues to plan Shelly’s memorial service. |
|
Laurel goes to Diane to see if she can stay there. The landlady
agrees and tells her, ‘Ashley’s been like a kicked
dog since you’ve been away.’ Laurel tells her that
she’s here to stay now and just wants to get on with the
rest of her life.
|
|
Having got somewhere to stay, Laurel goes in search of Nicola
to ask her for her job back. She finds her in the café talking
to Ashley, which surprises her somewhat as they never talk! Nicola
tells her that the company got on fine without her and if she wants
her job back she’ll have to go for an interview. What a cow! |
|
After Tom’s comments earlier in the day, Chloe is distraught
she’s not made more of an impact on him. When he calls her
just a secretary and asks her to get some coffee, she puts Plan
B into action and decides to fall down the stairs! She of course
lets slip that she’s pregnant, much to the surprise of family-man
Tom who demands she goes to hospital. |
|
At the hospital Chloe asks Carl how they’re going to tell
Tom about the abortion. She sends him out to talk to him, but only
because she knows she’s having a scan and she’s worried
what it’ll show, or, in her case, what it won’t show. |
|
Tom is angry that the couple are planning an abortion and tells
Carl that just because he wants a termination doesn’t mean
Chloe does too. Meanwhile, Chloe is told by the doctor that she
wasn’t pregnant and never has been!
|
|
Elsewhere, Laurel decides to go for her interview with Nicola,
but instead gets a shock when she discovers that she and Ashley
have organised a surprise party for her! And, not only does she
get her job back, she gets promoted to second in command to Nicola,
who has decided to expand her business. What a day for Laurel! |
|
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Carl tells Tom that his and
Chloe’s decision to terminate the baby is for the best, particularly
as he doesn’t even know how he feels about her. But then
Chloe emerges in tears and, thinking the worst, Carl consoles her.
She then tells him that the ‘baby’ is actually fine. |
|
Back home, Chloe tells Carl that she doesn’t want to get
rid of the baby. After seeing it on the scan she says she just
can’t do it. But Carl is outraged that she has gone back
on their decision. Trouble is, Chloe, you ain't pregnant! |
