ITV1 Network 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Review :-

Charity sets her sights on revenge, but which King brother will she pick for her first target?

Val gets closer to an unlikely local Cassanova.

Sam thinks about flying the nest.

Charity (Emma Atkins) is delighted when she overhears Jimmy (Nick Miles) telling Matthew (Matt Healy) that he is sick of Sadie (Patsy Kensit) getting all of the credit at work. When he goes on to say that he would never have married her if he had known what she was like, Charity sees an opportunity and corners Jimmy telling him that they have a lot in common. What does Charity have up her sleeve?

Val (Charlie Hardwick) decides to help raise funds for Pollard (Chris Chittell) and offers to sell his watches to Rodney (Patrick Mower). Thinking this is an impossibility, Pollard jokes that if she does he will cook for her in the nude! Much to Pollard’s horror Val succeeds in making the sale and Pollard is left with no choice but to get his kit off!

Sam (James Hooton) gets a shock when Alice (Ursula Holden Gill) asks him to move to Norfolk with her. Sam is torn between his feelings for Alice and the love of his family, but with Zak (Steve Halliwell) intent on keeping his son close, will Sam finally fly from the Dingle nest?

ITV Update

The knives are out Tues, 7.00pm, 18th Jan

PLEASE NOTE All Opinions expressed in this update are those of the ITV visual updater and not of this site's or necessarily ITV's or Emmerdale's.

It’s breakfast time at the Dingles and Sam and Alice still haven’t emerged from their room after spending their first night together. Zak is suspicious after spending most of the night awake because of ‘creaking noises’ – he was obviously thinking the lovebirds were up to no good…
The two appear minutes later looking sheepish and both admit that they didn’t sleep much, but then Alice reveals that it was because she heard creaking noises... from the back door. Zak heaves a huge sigh of relief that the suspicious noises have been explained and that his Sam was behaving himself!
Meanwhile, Pollard is trying to sell his collection of watches to raise money for his solicitor, but to no avail. Val offers to shift the lot for him, to which he laughs in her face. To show how serious she is, Val bets Eric that if she sells them, he will have to cook a meal for her… in the buff!
There’s no such love nest at the B&B as Cain and Charity argue over breakfast. It’s not long before Bob loses his temper and shouts to them both: ‘This is a country B&B, not the Jerry Springer show’. You tell 'em, Bob!
They both storm out, watched by Tom and Sadie. Tom sees it as further evidence that the two were together, but Sadie is a bit more perturbed and can’t understand why Cain is staying with Charity… she later calls him to arrange a meeting.
At the pub, Chas is waiting for Denzel to ask her out after days of flirting that has made us viewers cringe. She tells Bob that she’s relieved that he hasn’t asked her out because she wouldn’t want her family to find out. ‘Why, is he a serial killer?’ Bob asks her, ‘No, it’s worse than that,’ Chas says, ‘he’s a Copper’!
Sam and Alice discuss her impending move to Norfolk and she asks him how they’ll cope living so far apart. She asks him to move with her, so that they can be together, but Sam says he likes living in Beckindale. Oh Sam, come on!
Sadie and Cain meet up and she asks him what he’s doing with Charity. The chemistry between the two oozes and she tells him to stay away from Charity, ‘the last thing I want is the truth coming out’. Could she just be a bit jealous?
On her way home Sadie spots Charity in her car and chastises her. Charity is having none of it and swears her revenge on the blonde minx. But Sadie replies, ‘Give it up Charity because you’re never going to win’. The knives are well and truly out now!
Val pulls off a corker by convincing ex-boyfriend Rodney to buy the watches from her. At first he’s only willing to pay £500 for them, but some crafty emotional blackmail from Val raises his offer to £1000! Pollard, as you can imagine, is delighted!
His grin soon disappears when Val insists he honour his end of the bargain! ‘I want to see you slicing and dicing as naked as the day you were born.’ Thankfully for us, Pollard has an apron on when he starts on the carrots!
Charity finds an unlikely ally in her quest to dethrone Sadie from Tom’s top spot. When the scorned bride overhears Jimmy telling Matthew that he wouldn’t have married Sadie if he’d known what she was like, Charity hits upon an idea… she tells Chas, ‘I’m gonna get Sadie back right where she least expects it.' We look forward to it!
