Charity demands the truth from Cain when he returns to the village
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Cain kicks off at Charity when she accuses him of busting up her wedding.
No news from the TV appeal leaves Turner devastated.
Pearl panics about moving home.
There is a showdown in the Woolpack between the Kings and the Dingles
when Cain (Jeff Hordley) shows his face for the first time since Tom
(Ken Farrington) and Charity’s (Emma Atkins) wedding.
Charity demands that Cain tell Tom the truth behind the photos of
them kissing, but when he has the audacity to deny everything, an enraged
Charity launches herself at him, leaving Zak (Steve Halliwell) and
Matthew (Matt Healy) with little choice but to intervene.
Later on, Debbie (Charley Webb) is torn between her mother and her
father as Cain desperately pleads his innocence. Knowing that both
her parents have lied to her in the past, who will she believe?
Turner (Richard Thorp) receives information about another sighting
of Shelly (Carolyn Pickles) but is reluctant to get his hopes up as
he fears it may be a hoax. The police later warn Turner that the TV
appeal could have damaged the case against Steph (Lorraine Chase) leaving
him utterly deflated.
Elsewhere, Pearl (Meg Johnson) is devastated when she hears that Tom
has put an offer in for the house and the realization sinks in that
her days in the village could be numbered.

||Charity is going nuts living back in the Dingle household… Shadrach
has used Noah’s buggy to move wood and Chas is asking for
her contribution to the weekly pot. Charity can’t wait for
Cain to return so she can ‘kill him for driving me back to
||If yesterday’s flirting wasn’t enough, Chas has gone
back for more cheesy lines from Denzel the Copper. He offers her
a ride to the village in his police car, he knows how to treat
a lady you see. She’s lucky not to get spotted by DI Keysell,
who’s looking particularly glum today. More of that later...
||Everyone seems to be talking about Turner’s television
appearance the previous day. Viv comes up with her usual candid
offering: ‘the camera really does put the pounds on you’.
Ah, Viv, we can always rely on you to make people feel better.
Turner, meanwhile, is disappointed Shelly has not been in touch.
||After more bickering, the Dingles decide it would be a good idea
to head to the Woolpack for a drink. And guess which family is
also in there? Yep, the Kings… Fight! Fight! Fight!
||It’s only when Cain saunters in that the place erupts,
or rather Charity does. She storms up to him and orders him to
tell Tom that their kiss was a set-up. He denies everything and
amid shouts of ‘pack of lies’ and ‘that scheming
cow’ Charity lunges at Cain.
||Back at the farm, Charity tells Cain that he’s ruined her
life. Zak and Lisa try it get to the bottom if it and ask Cain
for his side of the story. He denies that Sadie set Charity up
and claims he was trying to get back with her! Cue more shouting
between the former lovers.
||After the screaming, Edna and Pearl’s soft voices are a
welcome relief. Pearl admits that she has been talking potential
buyers off Jacob's Fold. But then Len walks in with a huge smile
on his face telling them that Tom King has made an offer on the
house. Poor Pearl.
||Meanwhile, Zak and Lisa don’t know whether to believe Charity
or Cain, ‘I can’t trust either of them’, says
Zak. He adds, incisively, ‘they can’t live together,
but they can’t live apart either’, no kidding, Zak!
||Finally alone, Cain admits to Charity that Sadie paid him ’enough’ to
set her up. She questions whether he would sell Debbie out as well,
but he tells her to leave Debbie out of it. He then informs Charity
that she can't do anything because it's her word against his.
||Charity and Cain both try to convince Debbie of their stories,
but she’s not interested and instead asks her parents to
think about her for a change, ‘most people have normal parents’,
she wails. Cain tells her that he just wanted to give the family
one last try, Charity just raises her eyebrows in disbelief.
||Meanwhile, DI Keysell tells Turner that he’s severely jeopardised
the case by appealing on television for Shelly - the victim of
a murder trial - to come home. ‘If her killer walks free
from that court we will have both let Shelly down,’ he tells
a now glum-looking Turner.
