Pollard fears for his future
ITV1 Network
7:00 PM to 7:30 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Turner (Richard Thorp) gets a shock when he finds Steph (Lorraine Chase) on
his doorstep demanding to see Shelly (Carolyn Pickles). After he slams the
door in his daughter’s face, Steph heads to the Woolpack but is upset
further by the reception that awaits her.
With nowhere else to go, Steph heads to the church where Ethan (Liam
O’Brien) questions her about why she has come back. Steph insists
she loves Turner and Shelly and that she wants to tell them that she
approves of their relationship. Despite her good intentions can Steph
ever expect forgiveness for all that she has done?

Meanwhile, Pollard (Chris Chittell) has a meeting with his solicitor
and is devastated to hear that he could face a six month sentence for
the fraud at the factory.

Waking up from his big night, Pollard is completely
oblivious to his behaviour the previous evening. Val reminds him
though and he goes off, tail between his legs, to apologise to
Turner and Shelly. |
|
Pollard’s knock on the door leaves Shelly nervous once
again, but Turner reminds her that Steph is in Leeds now and won’t
bother them. |
|
Ethan sets off for Leeds to visit the newly-released Steph, but
just as he leaves we see a bus pull up in Emmerdale and Steph gets
off! |
|
Unsurprisingly, her first port of call is Turner’s house.
Alan opens the door but tells her that he’s made it clear
that he doesn’t want anything to do with her and, despite
her telling him that she has nowhere to stay, he closes the door
on her. |
|
Turner heads over to the café straight away to tell Shelly
that Steph has returned. She insists that she must leave the village,
but Turner’s having none of it and tells her that Steph is
not driving them out. |
|
Searching for somewhere to stay, Steph heads to the B&B.
Bob tells her the rooms are full, but she tells him they aren’t
as she’s just checked them! Poor Bob stands scared on the
stairs thinking Steph is going to push him down. But he’s
resolute and tells her she can’t stay there. |
|
Steph then makes her way to the pub, where she is met with disdain
by the locals. Chas announces, ‘Oh my God, it’s Cruella’,
while Rodney is the only person to confront her. He tells her she’s
not welcome in Emmerdale and that no-one will ever forgive her
for what she did to Turner. |
|
Just as she’s leaving, Pollard reminds her that they have
the trading standards hearing on Friday and has a go at her for
getting him in trouble in the first place. |
|
With nowhere else to go, Steph heads to the church where she
sees Ethan, who is now back from Leeds. She tells him that she
couldn’t stay in the hostel as she wants to make amends for
what she’s done. |
|
Ethan suggests that the best way she can do that is by leaving
Turner and Shelly alone. Steph admits that she’s a selfish
woman with a terrible temper and has done some dreadful things,
but she loves her dad and wants to tell him that she’s happy
for him and Shelly. She vows to put things right, ‘they are
going to forgive me’. |
