Charity sets about seducing Jimmy

ITV1 Network 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM

Charity (Emma Atkins) is about to pay for her groceries in Viv’s (Deena Payne) shop, but noting Jimmy’s (Nick Miles) presence she pretends she has forgotten her purse and is pleased when he offers to lend her the money.

Charity later goes to Home Farm to thank Jimmy, but her sexy attire suggests that she has got more than money on her mind.

Jimmy is unable to resist the former prostitute’s seductive manner and before long they are kissing passionately on the sofa. They are interrupted when Jimmy receives a phone call, but Charity is determined that this is just the beginning.

Over in the Woolpack, the villagers give Shelly (Carolyn Pickles) a warm welcome, delighted to see her fit and well. It’s only Pearl (Meg Johnson) who expresses her disapproval as she questions Shelly about how she could be so cruel as to let Turner (Richard Thorp) believe her to be dead.

Ethan (Liam O’Brien) interrupts when he comes into the pub announcing that Steph (Lorraine Chase) is due to be released the following day. How will Shelly feel knowing that she will soon be faced with her attacker?

Charity leaves her purse at home, and Viv, being the 'friendly' owner of the village shop, is unwilling to let Charity off. Step in Jimmy, who is more than willing to lend her the cash. With her seductive eyes, she promises to make it up to him. We bet you will Charity!
She later visits Jimmy to re-pay the money 'and something extra as a thank you!' Ooer. But Jimmy refuses to believe that the village beauty could possibly fancy him and asks her what's going on and what's she after.
But she puts her puppy-dog eyes on and tells him she just wants a friend, and him in particular because he's 'kind, fit and I have a lot more in common with you than you think... and we've both been in dead marriages'. He agrees to the latter before she makes a leap and snogs him on the sofa!
Away from the heated sofa, Ethan goes to see Steph at the prison. She still refuses to believe that Shelly is alive and insists it's a trick by the police so that she'll tell them where the body is.
Once again she recounts the night that she dumped Shelly. But Ethan tells her that he's seen Shelly and that she is alive. Steph finally begins to believe the curate and breaks down in tears as she tells him that the only thing she ever wanted was her father's forgiveness.
Elsewhere, Jarvis has a go at Len for secretly working on his Jag. Len tells him that he doesn't know what he's doing with the car and gives him advice, but Jarvis is too proud to accept it.
Meanwhile, back on the sofa at Home Farm and Jimmy has seemingly forgotten that he was supposed to be at a poker game with his brothers. But a phone call from Matthew interrupts and leaves Jimmy questioning what he and Charity are doing. She tells him to have a think about 'us' before she leaves. More of that later...
Shelly makes her first public appearance when she heads to the pub with Turner. But while most welcome her with open arms, there are others, mainly Pearl, who give her a hard time for not coming forward sooner and putting Turner through so much pain. Harsh, but true.
Later Ethan tells the couple that Steph is likely to be released from prison the following day. He's worried because he believes she's not of stable mind and is worried about what will become of her. Turner and Shelly are still too hurt to care.
Now down in the dumps without Jimmy stuck to her lips, Charity tells Chas how disappointed she is that Jimmy is not playing up to her. 'I thought I caught my fish, but I reckon he's got right off the hook.'
It’s vomit time again as Chas and Denzel flirt in the pub – funnily enough, there isn’t any moaning from Chas about her lack of social life now… just get on with it you two!
But don't speak too soon Charity, for who calls that very second to arrange a meeting at Home Farm the following day but Jimmy himself! Looks like her plan is back on and she tells Chas, 'I'm not gonna let him slip away this time'. Chas replies, 'God help him.'
