Chas hides the identity of her boyfriend

Chloe’s (Amy Nuttall) manipulation of Carl (Tom Lister) continues
when she threatens to go and live with Siobhan so they can bring up
their children together.
Fearing that he will lose access to his baby, Carl assures Chloe that
she has his full support and they later announce the pregnancy to a
surprised Jimmy (Nick Miles) and Matthew (Matt Healy). Has Chloe finally
got Carl where she wants him?
Elsewhere, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) enjoys a night out with her policeman
boyfriend, Denzel (Danny Lawrence), but when Marlon (Mark Charnock)
and Shadrach (Andy Devine) spot them together she is forced to pretend
that she has just been arrested!

||After her fall yesterday, Chloe gives Tom a call
to tell him she’ll be in the office in the afternoon. Well
she does have two people to look after now… oh wait, no she
doesn’t, there is no baby!
||At work, Tom says to Carl that for someone who has decided on
an abortion, Chloe looked pretty relieved when she heard the baby
was ok in the hospital the previous day. Carl tells him that she’s
decided to keep the baby after all. Tom sends him home to look
||After several rounds of arguments, Chloe tells Carl that she
doesn’t expect him to stand by her and has decided to go
and live with Siobhan, who will also be bringing up a child on
||Carl is disgusted and tells her that living with Siobhan is a
non-starter. He reminds Chloe that bringing up a child is difficult
and it’s not all about designer baby buggies. She tells him
that she knows what she wants and while he may not like it, ‘you
will have to respect it’.
||Chloe sits down with Tom at work and he says, ‘Whatever
happened to getting engaged, then wed and using contraception?’ But
he admits that he’s happy to be having another grandchild
and tells her to wait before deciding on an abortion as she may
regret it forever.
||Meanwhile, Chas is dropped home by Denzel, but is spotted by
Marlon, Shadrach and Zak! In her desperation she tells them that
she was arrested the previous evening! And even worse, Denzel tells
the Dingles that if they give him a pig he will drop all charges
against her! Fortunately, the Dingles are stupid enough to believe
||In the pub, father and son have a chat and Tom asks Carl why
he hasn’t had the snip and questions whether he does in fact
want more children. He takes Carl’s silence as a yes and
asks him if he loves Chloe. He replies, ‘I’m gonna
have to aren’t I? I’ll make a proper go of it, I promise.’ Seems
Chloe’s plan has worked!
||Back at home, Chloe apologises to Carl, but he admits he’s
been a prat. He tells her that they’re going to be alright – it’s
like music to the ears for Chloe!
||At the office, Tom gets the champagne out while Chloe tells Matthew
and Jimmy that she and Carl are having a baby. Tom welcomes her
to the family while Matthew and Jimmy rue the fact that another
ambitious lady has joined the King family!
||Back at home, Carl tells Chloe that her life will never be the
same again and asks her again if she wants to keep the baby, she
replies that she’s ‘dead sure’. While Carl goes
up and changes Fen the dog goes up to Chloe for some attention,
but she gently kicks it away and tells it, ‘You’ve
done your bit.’ She really is a nasty piece of work, isn't
||The Kings and Chloe go for a celebratory drink and she makes
Carl tell Chas about the baby, but the shrewd barmaid has already
worked it out and does the honourable thing and congratulates Chloe.
She later asks Carl if he's actually happy about it, he claims
||Seeing a deflated Chas, Paul asks her if she’s ok. First
she tells him she has a delightful boyfriend who worships the ground
she walks on, but then she holds back the tears and we all know
different. Poor Chas.
