Episode: 4,022 - Tuesday 12th April 2005
Bob feels rejected by his daughter

ITV1 Network 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sadie’s (Patsy Kensit) attempt to gain sympathy from Tom (Ken Farrington) backfires when he gladly accepts her token gesture of returning her engagement ring, since it originally belonged to his wife. Sadie is dumbfounded as she leaves Holdgate Farm empty handed and is later found by a concerned Robert (Karl Davies) who tells her that he is there if she needs anything. Having hit rock bottom, will she take her former toy-boy up on his offer?

Elsewhere, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) is left bitterly disappointed by Simon (Dale Meeks) when he refuses to go to dinner with her. Feeling rejected, a paranoid Nicola gives Betty (Paula Tilbrook) a tongue-lashing when she overhears her gossiping, assuming it’s about her.

Dawn drives Scott raving mad when he offers to give her a lesson - the speed freak nearly kills poor old Jarvis!...

Meanwhile, Dawn (Julia Mallam) unwittingly upsets Bob (Tony Audenshaw) when she ropes Scott (Ben Freeman) into giving her driving lessons. Will this bring her and Scott together or drive them apart?

Sadie tells Zoe that Jimmy has been welcomed back into the family and has his job back. Feeling slightly desperate now, she tells Zoe that she’s going to go and see Tom and play the sympathy card to try and get something out of him.

As she prepares to go, she asks Zoe for any advice she might have on ‘squeezing some money out of Tom’. Zoe tells her that she shouldn’t seem like a predator and to make her argument out of the fact that she was married to Jimmy for 15 years and helped him with his career, ‘instead of banging on about your rights or getting personal’. Let’s see if it works...

But Tom’s not there when she arrives so she sits in her car waiting for him.

Several hours later and he returns. He’s not interested at first, but after she pleads with him he agrees that she can have five minutes with him.

‘I’ve come to ask you to put in a good word for me to Jimmy,’ she tells him. He swiftly tells her that he’s not getting involved. She tells him that he’s hidden all his assets so that she can’t get her hands on any of the money, but Tom remains unmoved. When he asks her to leave she acts like a child and whines.
