Chloe gets Chas round to her side.

Syd persuades Katie to make the most of her

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chloe’s manipulation wins her more time at Dale View

Chas and Carl get closer as Chloe decides to move out

At the hospital the doctor informs Steph (Lorraine Chase), Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Zak (Steve Halliwell) that Turner (Richard Thorpe) is conscious after his fall. Steph is nervous as she visits her father but secretly relieved when he admits that he can’t remember much about the accident.

Turner is later brought home and Steph tells her father she’ll look after him because it’s her duty but that she has’nt forgotten his cruel words. Steph takes advantage of his immobility and rifles through his wallet, helping herself to cash and credit cards.

Steph has got away with it

Meanwhile, Chloe (Amy Nuttall) tearfully tells Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that her date didn’t show up last night, in an attempt to gain attention from her friend.

Chloe later goes into the Woolpack wearing a ripped top and lies that she went to see a flat and the landlord was an unsavoury character. Sympathising with Chloe, Chas tells her she can stay with them until she finds somewhere decent to live. Is there no limit to Chloe’s manipulation?

Katie is 18!

Over at the Woolpack, Katie (Sammy Winward) is thrilled when Syd (Nathan Gladwell) organises her a surprise birthday party. She is grateful to receive gifts from Jack (Clive Hornby) and Donna (Verity Rushworth), hoping this is an indication that the past is now behind them.

ITV.COM Getting Away With It Thursday 09.09.04
Steph is extremely nervous as she waits at the hospital to hear how Alan is. When Alan comes round and is unable to remember his fall she breathes a sigh of relief. When he asks her about the accident Steph tells him that when she left him he’d said he was going upstairs for a nap. Before Alan is discharged the doctor has a word with Steph and tells her that Alan needs someone to look after him and make sure he lays off the booze. Steph decides that she is the woman for the job.
On returning to Emmerdale with Alan Steph sets about making sure that she has complete control over her father. She tells Marlon to tell her family to stay away from her dad and she to cover her tracks over Alan’s fall she tells Jack that she believes Alan has started to make things up because his memory is failing. When Alan’s friends come to visit at the B&B Steph makes a big show of being the dutiful daughter but as soon as they are gone Steph helps herself to the huge bundle of cash and credit cards in Alan’s wallet.
Chloe decides that to prolong her stay at Dale View she must make Chas feel sorry for her. At breakfast she tells her that her hot date stood her up. She tells Chas that she was hoping to find a new man so she’d have somewhere decent to move on to. Later she turns up in the Woolpack with buttons torn from her blouse. Reluctantly she tells Chas that she was attacked by the landlord of the flat she looked at in Hotten. Chas tells her there’s no way she’ll be moving into that flat now and says she can stay with them for now.
Robert is put out when Syd arranges a surprise birthday party for Katie in the Woolpack. Katie is delighted when both Jack and Donna show up bearing gifts to show her that they have forgiven her.
