Dawn begins to regret her relationship with Scott.

Episode: 3876 - Thursday 21st October 2004 at 7pm-7:30pm

Donna is terrified as she is approached by Frank Bernard

Donna (Verity Rushworth) heads off to Hotten on her scooter but takes a corner too fast and is thrown to the ground.

Frank (Rob Parry) is out walking and is concerned to see a tearful Donna on the edge of the road following her accident. He approaches her to offer help, but assuming he is going to attack her Donna panics and runs away after using her rape alarm.

Donna sees Syd (Nathan Gladwell) and Scott (Ben Freeman) and hysterically throws herself into her brother’s arms after her ordeal. Scott jumps to conclusions and heads off with murderous intent in search of Frank. With Syd in tow, will he go too far in defence of his sister?

Meanwhile, Marlon (Mark Charnock) gets a shock when he opens his front door to find four young ragamuffin children. He is horrified when he discovers they belong to Lilith Dingle (Amanda Hennessy) and he is expected to care for them while she is away.

Outside Dingles' Homestead, Zak (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa (Jane Cox) have had an uncomfortable night in the camper van and are incredulous when Solomon patronises them by offering to let them use the toilet twice a day.

Solomon (Paul Shane) decides to keep Sam (James Hooton) on side by abdicating and hands over his title to the surprised Dingle.

Episode: 3877 - Thursday 21st October 2004 at 8:30pm-9pm
(this episode was originally supposed to air Friday 22nd October 2004)

Marlon is thrown into parenting

Scott (Ben Freeman) and Syd (Nathan Gladwell) drive back to the village having left Frank (Rob Parry) for dead on the roadside. Syd feels sickened by what they have done but Scott shows no remorse.

Meanwhile, Rodney (Patrick Mower) and Danny (Cleveland Campbell) are driving back to Emmerdale when they see Frank lying motionless on the side of the road. They manage to get him home after he refuses to go to hospital and Pearl (Meg Johnson) is devastated when she sees the extent of her son’s injuries.

As word of the attack spreads Dawn (Julia Mallam) becomes suspicious of Scott’s involvement, despite his denials. Syd begins to panic and is wracked with guilt over the incident. Will Frank remain silent over the identity of his attackers?

Elsewhere, Marlon (Mark Charnock) is exhausted having spent a whole day with the kids. He is close to tears as he realises he has no parenting skills but after a little advice from Emily (Kate McGregor) he manages to get them off to sleep and reflects on a tiring day.
