Zoe's efforts to re-establish a regular friendship with Scott are undone when a blast from her past lands in the village.

Sadie starts to stew as Tom falls increasingly under Charity's spell.

Zak brings a curse upon the Dingle household.

Zoe’s ex-girlfriend turns up at Home Farm

Zoe (Leah Bracknell) gets a shock when her ex-girlfriend, Emma Nightingale (Rachel Ambler) arrives unexpectedly at Home Farm. The unease between the ex-lovers is enhanced by Zoe’s current domestic set up with Scott (Ben Freeman).

Zoe explains that Scott is Jean’s (Meg Pearson) father, before confessing that she is contemplating having a relationship with a man. Emma assumes Zoe has Scott in mind, but – embarrassed – Zoe denies it.

Uncomfortable at Emma’s presence, Scott turns to his old flame Chloe (Amy Nuttall). Zoe later arrives home to find Scott leading Chloe into his flat. Will this be the push Zoe needs to accept her feelings for him?

Meanwhile, Sadie (Patsy Kensit) is irritated to wake up to Tom (Ken Farrington) serving a champagne breakfast to Charity (Emma Atkins).

Later in the pub, Sadie broods over her father-in-law’s romance, but waits until Tom goes to the bar before taking a bitter snipe at Charity. Tom returns and comments on how lucky he is to have two such beautiful girls with him – Charity smiles through gritted teeth.

Elsewhere, Zak (Steve Halliwell) breaks his Inca statue and fears that it will bring a curse on the Dingles unless he returns it to Chile. Lisa (Jane Cox) brushes off his words as nonsense, but Zak insists there are troubled waters ahead. Note this story did not happen in the final cut obviously to make way for an absence by Steve Halliwell. The character of Zak had not been seen on screen for some days. Instead Lisa has been asking probing questions as to where Zak is around the village and particularly with Sam.

ITV.COM Champagne Breakfast Sunday 30.05.04 Sadie is dismayed to find a very happy Charity and Tom tucking into a champagne breakfast. At lunch in the Woolpack Sadie can’t resist having a vicious snipe at Charity the moment Tom goes to the bar and tells her that Tom normally goes for women who have more class. Sadie’s nose is put out of joint once more when she has to put up with Jimmy and Charity sharing a joke for once. After the dinner party debacle Charity now seems to have the upper hand in her war with Sadie.

Zoe’s ex Emma turns up out of the blue with her new girlfriend and proceeds to ask Zoe some awkward questions about the exact nature of the relationship she has with Scott. When Emma and decide to go out for the evening Zoe asks Scott whether he would mind looking after the children. Scott tells her can’t because he has a date. Scott quickly whisks Zoe back to his flat and when Zoe hears the back door close she goes after Scott and hides behind a wall and watches jealously as Scott takes Zoe into his flat.

Lisa is still trying to discover Zak’s whereabouts and Sam is doing his best to remain tight lipped until he’s put on the spot and comes out with a tale of Zak having gone to take part in a bare knuckle boxing bout, except the boxing will not be bare knuckle as Zak will be wearing oven gloves. Surprisingly Lisa finds the story plausible and Sam is off the hook for the time being.

When Viv refuses to serve her in both the shop and the cafe and brands her a home wrecker Katie is left feeling depressed and confides in Chas, who tells her to take no notice of the village gossip.
