Review
Passionate tension simmers at Home Farm as Dawn starts her new job.
Katie hits on an idea to keep Robert out of her home.
Chas is forced to swallow her pride to land a job.

Scott and Dawn edge closer

Scott becomes over familiar as Dawn starts work for the Tate Empire.

It’s Dawn’s (Julia Mallam) first day on the job and Terry (Billy Hartman) is upset that she won’t leave TJ alone with him.

Meanwhile, Scott (Ben Freeman) is flirtatious with Dawn and asks her if she wants to go for a drink after work. Although Dawn is tempted she admits she has to pick TJ up and get back for Terry.

When she finally gets home she is left feeling unhappy with her lot. She gets a text message from Scott but guiltily lies to Terry when he asks who it’s from.

Katie (Sammy Winward) finds the pressure of having Robert (Karl Davies) around her all the time too much. She tells him nothing can ever happen between them again. But will Robert be able to convince her otherwise?

Meanwhile, unlucky-in-love Donna (Verity Rushworth) is jealous that Robert has been spending all his time at the farm. She quizzes Katie about him, telling her she would love to go out with him again. Katie advises Donna to stay away.

Katie later suggests to Andy that they should take on a lodger, someone that could help out with the farm and take the pressure off Andy. Secretly, Katie hopes that if they get some extra live-in help, they won’t have to rely on Robert.

Times are suddenly tough for unemployed Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as she struggles to make ends meet. She asks Bob (Tony Audenshaw) to put in a good word at the café, hoping it might get her a waitressing job.

She later gets an opportunity to prove her worth when she spontaneously gives Emily (Kate McGregor) a hand working in the coffee shop. Viv (Deena Payne) is shocked to see Chas mucking in but agrees to give her a trial.

Katie, Andie and Robert
When Robert turns up Katie quickly makes her excuses and leaves. The very thought of him is driving her to distraction, so she’s not happy when Donna wants to talk about him. She tells Donna that she’d be mad to go out with Robert because he only thinks of himself. Donna can’t understand why Katie is so down on him. Katie later hatches a plan that will hopefully keep Robert out of her way. She suggests to Andy that they take in a lodger, someone who could help with farm work so they wouldn’t have to rely on Robert.
Chas serves the customers at the Cafe Hope
Desperate for money to buy a birthday present for Aaron, Chas asks Bob to put a word in with Viv and get her a job at the café. Bob promises to try but says it will be tough, reminding Chas of the time she pinned Viv to bar in The Woolpack. As luck would have it Emily is rushed off her feet in the café and Chas mucks in while Viv looks after TJ. When Viv returns she is surprised to see Chas behind the counter but concedes that she could do with the help. A good day is ruined for Chas when Gordon tells her Aaron will not be seeing her on his birthday.
Dawn
Terry feels more useless than ever as Dawn goes off to work at the place he used to run before he had his stroke. To make matters worse Dawn tells him that TJ will be spending the day with Viv. Dawn enjoys her day in the office with Scott and they flirt and gossip. Zoe later asks Scott whether she had an ulterior motive in hiring Dawn. He claims that the though couldn’t be further from his mind but he sends Dawn a text message to thank her for her work nonetheless. When Terry asks who the text was from Dawn pretends that is was just some junk text.
