MONDAY 29 MARCH 2004 7.00 to 7.30 pm ITV1 Review: Charity is forced to make a decision about her baby’s future. Cain (Jeff Hordley) visits Charity (Emma Atkins) in prison after hearing about Zoe’s (Leah Bracknell) cruel ultimatum. Torn between her freedom and her fortune, Charity tells Cain she is going to turn Zoe’s offer down. Having drawn up a contract for the exchange, Zoe meets Charity at the hospital with the documentation but is horrified when Charity unexpectedly tells her to rot in hell and refuses to sign Noah’s life away. Zoe begins to panic and after finally admitting that Chris killed himself she decides to offer Charity a one-off payment of £10,000 to clinch the deal. Will it be enough to make Charity sign on the dotted line?
Elsewhere in the village, the Dingles step up their intimidation as they continue to use scare tactics to threaten Scott (Ben Freeman). He becomes increasingly nervous in their company and does his best to avoid them. Dawn (Julia Mallam) admits to Terry (Billy Hartman) that she is not seeing enough of TJ, but that’s not all she feels guilty about. Scott can’t hide his disappointment when she hands in her resignation, but whether this will spell the end of their flirtation remains to be seen.
