IN ORDER OF APPEARANCE
Nicola Blackstock Nicola Wheeler
Monday 7 June 7 - 7.30pm ITV1
Finally seeing the error of her ways, Nicola
realises she’s only got herself to blame for losing Simon.
Nicola is devastated as Simon insists the engagement is off
As the dust settles, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) begs Simon (Dale Meeks) to change his mind and tries to rectify the damage done the previous day. Nicola’s pleas fall on deaf ears as, deeply hurt, Simon stands by his decision to call the engagement off.
Looking for someone to blame, Nicola berates everyone that crosses her path, accusing them of telling Simon about Syd (Nathan Gladwell). Diplomat Paddy (Dominic Brunt) finally takes hot-headed Nicola aside and informs her that Simon saw her and Syd together with his very own eyes. Is it too late for Nicola to make amends with the witty fishmonger?
Elsewhere in the village, Debbie (Charley Webb) is miffed when she realises she’s not welcome at Christopher’s christening. She vents her frustration on Charity (Emma Atkins), who offers her some money to buy a christening present. Not wanting handouts, Debbie turns her nose up at her mother’s offer, telling her she thinks money is the answer to everything.
Charity is unaware that cunning Sadie (Patsy Kensit) has witnessed the exchange, and she later collars Debbie and offers her a loan. Although dubious at first, Debbie agrees to take the money and pay it back with interest. Sadie revels in this, knowing that her gesture will rile Charity.
