With Katie gone, Andy and Robert face up
to the error of their way but can they forgive
Ashley mistakenly thinks that Laurel wants to marry him
Robert asks Andy to come into the house, telling him he will talk to Jack (Clive Hornby) in a bid to smooth things over. Having nearly killed Jack, Andy can’t see the point, certain it is beyond repair. Is there really no hope of a reconciliation?
Meanwhile, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) notices there is something fishy about Simon’s (Dale Meeks) behaviour and it isn’t just his deliveries.
She notices a ring box in his van, but when she questions her boyfriend, he insists it contains a pair of cufflinks he borrowed from Paddy (Dominic Brunt). Jumping to conclusions, Nicola tells Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) that she is convinced Simon is planning to propose. Is she in for a disappointment?
Pleased with her own love life, Nicola offers advice to an excitable Laurel. Nicola suggests that Laurel tries to seduce Ashley (John Middleton) with a saucy bra, but when she later whips up her top to reveal her new purchase Paddy gets a shock as he accidentally cops an eyeful.
Later, Ashley comes across Nicola in the café, poring over wedding magazines. With Laurel’s new underwear in mind, Nicola can’t resist telling Ashley she hopes their evening goes well and tells him to say yes to Laurel.
Ashley mistakenly panics that Laurel wants to get hitched, and later takes her aside explaining that he isn’t ready for marriage.
