Devastated that Ashley does not reciprocate her love, Laurel tells Nicola
she doesn’t want to clean the vicarage anymore. Later, Laurel is
pleased when she gets a phone call from a job agency about a position
in Finland as an au pair for a young couple. Nicola is stunned when she
hears the news. She tries to persuade her not to go but realises her
mind is made up. Ashley visits Laurel and tells her that he hopes they
can still be friends regardless of everything that has happened.
Laurel tells him that’s not going to be possible because she’s
moving to Finland. Ashley is shocked but tells her not to go without
saying goodbye. As he leaves he gives Laurel a kiss on the cheek and
realises just how upset he is at the thought of losing her.

After school on the bus, Debbie tells Donna she’s been suspended
for two weeks for pushing over a girl who was bullying her. When the
bullying begins again on the journey home, Debbie loses her temper and
attacks the girl. All hell breaks loose and Debbie is thrown off the
bus.

With nowhere to turn, distraught Debbie goes to the church, she finds
fifty pence in her pocket and puts it into the collection box before
sitting down in a pew. When Ethan arrives and sees her with the collection
box he immediately presumes Debbie was trying to steal from it. The accusation
upsets Debbie and she throws the box on the floor and runs out of the
church. Later Ethan goes round to the Dingles to try and apologise for
the misunderstanding.
Elsewhere in the village, guilty Andy goes to see Daz in the care home.
He invites him to the wedding but is concerned when his half brother
makes weak excuses.

determined to move on and after taking
