Viv makes Christmas at the Dingles’ a
day to remember!
ITV1 Network
6:30 PM to 7:00 PM
 Review :-
With no family at home, Viv looks set for a lonely Christmas
but when Lisa comes on the hunt for a pudding things look up.
A two-faced Sadie puts her plans on hold and sucks up
to Tom.
One of the Dingles makes an unlikely Santa. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s Christmas morning and Viv (Deena Payne) is desperate to
convince everyone that she has been inundated with offers to spend
the day.
As the reality of being alone hits home, Viv decides to invite herself
to join the Dingles' celebrations and despite their initial discomfort
they welcome her with open arms. Before long Viv drowns her sorrows
and after one too many becomes the life and soul of the party as she
treats everyone to her vocal talents.
Over at Home Farm, the Kings join forces with the Tates but Sadie
(Patsy Kensit) seems to have forgotten that it is the season of goodwill
and her manipulation of Charity (Emma Atkins) continues.
Charity and Zoe (Leah Bracknell) share an emotional moment when Zoe
explains that she knows Charity played no part in Chris’s death.
Sadie gets a glimpse of this and feels that she should mention to Tom
(Ken Farrington) that Charity and Zoe have a history together. How
will Tom react to the news that his fiancée had a fling with
her ex-husband’s sister?
Meanwhile, Lesley (Sherrie Hewson) is full of Christmas cheer, unperturbed
by the fact that Rodney (Patrick Mower) spends the day fending off
her advances. When Pollard (Chris Chittell) turns up with Val (Charlie
Hardwick) Rodney sits Lesley next to him hoping to divert her affections,
but with Lesley’s sights set firmly on Rodney will he be able
to resist for much longer?

The King clan converge on Home Farm for Christmas.
Sadie is delighted as Callum Rennie appears leading a stallion
and Jimmy wishes his wife a merry Christmas. Carl is next to arrive,
driving a flash convertible. Carl gets out and wishes Charity a
happy Christmas. Charity is delighted with Tom’s expensive
gift. Sadie fumes silently at being upstaged and is unimpressed
when Jimmy looks at the car and says ‘I bet your horse could
beat that’. |
|
After dinner Zoe and Charity enjoy a heart to heart and Zoe tells
Charity that she knows that she had nothing to do with Chris’s
death. Tom witnesses their chat and says to Sadie that it’s
good to see the two of them building bridges. Refusing to call
a truce in her war with Charity Sadie tells Tom that he’s
with Charity now and he has nothing to worry about where Zoe’s
concerned. Tom is puzzled and Sadie explains that Zoe and Charity
were once an item. Tom looks perturbed as he takes the coffee through
and finds Charity and Zoe hugging one another. |

At Mill Cottage Paul presents Rodney with an album containing
his life in photos. Paul tries to hide his disappoint as Rodney
tells him that he has a present for him but doesn’t produce
anything. Having spent Christmas morning fending off Lesley Rodney
is very pleased to see Val. In desperation he tells her that he
needs her to go out with him again. His face drops when Eric Pollard
walks in and Val asks Rodney whether he’s met her stocking
filler? Undaunted Rodney introduces Eric to Lesley as a big Cliff
fan and a ladies man. |

Donna reminds Viv that she is welcome to spend Christmas with
the Dingles. Viv replies that she would rather be garrotted. Ashley
and Ethan are surprised to find Viv in church on Christmas day.
Realising that she’s after an invite Ashley asks Viv whether
she’d like to spend the day with them. Viv turns them down
claiming that they just want her to wait on them hand and foot
all day. Viv heads to the pub and enjoys herself with a group of
strangers at one end of the bar while Bob gets excessively festive
at the other end of the bar. |

Lisa is livid when she discovers that Shadrach has eaten the
Christmas pudding. She heads off to the shop in search of a replacement
pudding and Viv assumes that she’s come to invite her over.
Marlon puts an end to Viv’s sniping by putting his arm around
Donna and telling her mother that they’re happy so she’d
better start enjoying herself. Viv enjoys herself a little too
much and there is horror and hilarity among the Dingles as she
entertains them with songs from Oliver. Viv’s singing is
so bad the Dingle dogs start howling along with her racket. |
