FRIDAY 23 APRIL 2004 7.00 TO 7.30PM ITV1
Steph is in hot water over dodgy dealings at the factory.
Jack (Clive Hornby) tells Robert (Karl Davies) he wants to put recent events behind them and gives his son a late birthday present.
Meanwhile, Katie (Sammy Winward) is desperately missing Robert and is upset when he switches his phone off each time she calls. She heads to the Sugden’s telling both Robert and Jack that although she loves Andy (Kelvin Fletcher), they are never going to be happy and she is not prepared to lose Robert.
Katie gets a nasty shock when Robert announces he is not willing to turn his back on his family. She is devastated and ignores Jack’s suggestion that she make the best of her marriage. She later tells Chas (Lucy Pargeter) that she intends to leave Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) regardless.
With Pollard (Christopher Chittell) returning, Steph (Lorraine Chase) begins to panic, having used his money to pay for the stolen mobile phones. She blackmails Shelly (Carolyn Pickles) that unless she helps her get rid of them quickly she will make sure the police know that she was involved when she gets caught. Will Steph get away with her scam?
After receiving funeral leaflets and realising the costs involved, Jarvis (Richard Moore) decides to break with tradition and sets about making his own coffin.
