Marlon is desperate to spend time with Carrie in order to feel closer to Tricia.
When penniless Charity (Emma Atkins) receives a hefty bill from her solicitor, the tension leads to a bitter argument with Cain (Jeff Hordley) when he implies she would sell Debbie too for the right price. Charity is furious and slaps him round the face.
Having taken so many blows over the last couple of months, it doesn’t take long for Charity to bounce back, and despite having lost both her children she’s determined not to be beaten.
Bold as brass, Charity walks up to Tom King (Ken Farrington) in the pub and asks him for a job. Having witnessed her fiery outburst with Cain, Tom is intrigued by her feisty behaviour and offers her a two-week trial.
Marlon (Mark Charnock) still hasn’t given up the ghost as far as Tricia (Sheree Murphy) is concerned. Determined that there is still a piece of her living on in Carrie (Laura Crossley), his obsession begins to escalate out of control.
Elsewhere in the village, Rodney (Patrick Mower) joins forces with Zoe (Leah Bracknell) as they discuss the cricket pitch for a potential site to develop houses. Danny (Cleveland Campbell) warns him he will make himself immensely unpopular in the village if he becomes involved.
