Debbie is heartbroken to find out her mother sold baby Noah to Zoe in return for her freedom.
Debbie (Charley Webb) is relieved to have her mother home and excited by the prospect of them finally being a happy family. However, her elated mood is quickly quashed when Zoe (Leah Bracknell) barges into the Dingles and hands Charity (Emma Atkins) an envelope of cash, telling her to stay away from Chris’s baby.
Debbie is furious when she realises that her Mum has sold Noah to Zoe. Charity tries to explain but points out that she was going to get him adopted anyway and that Noah was her ticket to freedom.
Stunned by her Mum’s heartlessness, Debbie slaps Charity hard across the face. Later Debbie tells Emily (Kate McGregor) and Paddy (Dominic Brunt) what Charity has done and they offer to let her stay with them for a few days.
When Cain (Jeff Hordley) tries to stop his daughter from leaving, she threatens to shop Charity to social services for selling Noah. Charity is heartbroken when Debbie tells her she will never love her again after what she has done.
Elsewhere in the village, Katie (Sammy Winward) and Robert (Karl Davies) begin to panic about Victoria’s (Hannah Midgley) behaviour, and Jack (Jack Sugden) fears that something is seriously wrong. He desperately tries to reassure her, but Victoria still refuses to speak and Jack decides seek medical advice.
Meanwhile, after their tiff, Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) tells Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) she thinks she’s blown it with Ashley (John Middleton). Will they be able to get over the first hurdle and put the argument behind them?
