Marlon introduces himself to Carrie, who is unnerved by his unannounced presence
Emily (Kate McGregor) is distressed when she hears that Marlon intends to introduce himself to the girl, convinced it is a bad idea. She tentatively reminds him that Carrie has undergone major surgery and his unannounced presence may cause her distress.
Desperate to be closer to Tricia, Marlon ignores Emily’s pleas and visits Carrie again at her home, but is disheartened when she is upset by his arrival and slams the door in his face.
Later, Carrie sees Marlon standing across the road looking distraught and is confused by his intentions. Suddenly feeling sorry for the disconsolate character she goes to talk to him but continues to feel unnerved.
Elsewhere, Cain (Jeff Hordley) and Debbie (Charley Webb) head to London for Charity’s (Emma Atkins) appeal the following day. Debbie is delighted that Zoe (Leah Bracknell) has decided to change her testimony, but Cain can’t bring himself to tell her Charity has sold Noah in return for her freedom.
Meanwhile, Victoria (Hannah Midgley) still hasn’t uttered a single word since Robert (Karl Davies) threatened her to keep her mouth shut after she saw him and Katie (Sammy Winward) kissing in bed.
Having been asked to do an Easter reading, Robert waits with bated breath as bewildered Victoria stands before the congregation in the church. Will the villagers get more than they bargained for?
