so strangely.
Val’s paranoia makes Jack worry more.
Nicola makes a splash as she bags her man.

Nicola goes to Scarborough to bag her man
Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) prepares to go to Scarborough to bag her man,
but is put out when she discovers Jack (Clive Hornby), Val (Charlie
Hardwick) and Victoria (Hannah Midgley) are catching a lift with
her and Marlon (Mark Charnock).
Meanwhile, Simon (Dale Meeks) is working with his sister Bonnie (Viktoria
Kay) and mum Lesley (Sherrie Hewson) in the fish quay and is not impressed
to see his surprise visitor.
Sick and tired of Nicola’s questioning Simon shouts that he
and Tash (Sally Evans) are not together and storms off.
Tear stained and humble, Nicola begs Lesley and Bonnie to tell her
where Simon is and later shocks him when she turns up where his boat
is moored and sits down, refusing to leave. Will Simon back down?
Meanwhile, Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) hides from Rodney (Patrick Mower)
who finds her and tells her it is typical of her to drop a bombshell
and then run away from him. Diane feels uncomfortable but Rodney is
still unsure how to respond as he holds her close.
Later that day, Val (Charlie Hardwick) and Jack (Clive Hornby) turn
up at the funeral and are told that Rodney and Diane seemed eager to
leave together. Jack is furious and when he finally catches up with
them on the promenade he punches Rodney in the face.
Rodney insists that Diane tell Jack the truth and claims that if she
doesn’t, he will. Furious, Diane storms off leaving Rodney to
deliver the news to a stunned Jack and Val.

Much to everyone’s embarrassment Jack and Val,
with Victoria in tow, are forced to catch a lift
to Scarborough with Marlon and Nicola who is
hell bent on reclaiming Simon from Tash. The
journey to Scarborough is not without its hitches
as Nicola slams the car boot down on Marlon’s
hand and he has to be taken to casualty en route. |

dismayed to see Rodney is in tears and tells
him that she doesn’t want his sympathy. Diane
jokes about her condition and shocks Rodney but
