THE CCC INFOLINE: 08708 50 60 50
The CCC Infoline is a confidential telephone
information service giving advice on all aspects of bowel
cancer – available
not only to members of the public and patients but to nurses
and health professionals too.
Run by colorectoral, oncology and stoma care specialist
nurses, the Infoline offers advice on all issues including
prevention, symptoms, diagnostic tests and treatment options.
CCC’s BOWEL CANCER AWARENESS
CAMPAIGN 2004
CCC is currently running the most comprehensive
Awareness Campaign in the history of the charity and the
disease – a
groundbreaking year-long National Lottery funded initiative
which aims to reach 17 million people in the UK.
The campaign
focuses on public awareness targeting: GP waiting rooms,
pubs, city and county councils and people at
their place of work.
The charity’s hardhitting Sh*t Scared?
Pub Campaign is being launched on 13 September
2004. It
targets men and
women of all ages and aims to reach drinkers at 30,000 public
houses across the UK - using posters, beer mats and media
activity to raise awareness of the disease.
